Thought on love and marriage. 10/13/2009
As a pastor I have the privilege of working with couples. Sometimes before they are married and often afterwards. Usually when it's "afterwards" it's because there is a problem. The pressures of today's society wreck havoc on our marriages. So many things vie for our attention. The feeling of love is great. No, it's wonderful. But marriage can be a real wakeup call. Here's a great quote that is somewhat humorous, but with real implications. "Love is blind – marriage is the eye-opener." – Pauline Thompson CommentsLeave a Reply | I serve as Senior Pastor of Grace Church in Ridgewood, NJ. I'm a husband, dad, a recovering musician and a guy on a spiritual journey trying to understand what it really means to live a Spirit led life. This site is my opportunity to share various things I care about and think about with my Grace Church family, my friends and anyone else who stumbles across it. There are several things which really get me charged: Jesus, my family, Grace Church, motorcycles, theology, music and Alabama football. Enjoy and feel free to join in the discussion.
